ESCAPE-Pain is a rehabilitation programme designed to reduce pain and discomfort from hip and knee pain. 

Join our 6 week (12 session) programme

• 20 minutes of group discussion on a specific topic related to joint pain. Information and simple ways to better manage knee and hip pain. 
• 40 minutes of a simple circuit-type exercises. A gentle, individualised exercise programme that matches your needs and pace.

After completing the programme you will be able to...  

• Carry out normal activities. 

• Manage your symptoms. 

• Become more active. 

• Continue to exercise.  

Current locations and times

Starting w/c February 3rd:

• Stonehaven Leisure Centre - Tuesdays and Thursdays (4-5pm)
• Deveron Community and Sports Centre - Tuesday (9am) and Thursday (2pm)
• Fraserburgh Community and Sports Centre - Wednesday (3:30pm) Friday (2:30pm)

Eligibility criteria for Escape Pain (knee and hip)

• Chronic joint pain (at least 3 months’ duration). 

• No contraindications to carrying out a regular exercise programme. 

• Would benefit from a group-based rehabilitation programme with exercise. 
• Independently mobile and able to participate in a group-based exercise programme with minimal supervision.

Programme Costs (12 sessions over 6 weeks)

Standard rate: £87.24 / Over 60years: £52.32 / Low income benefit rate: £34.92
